No joke: Search Fuller Mountain Preserve for salamanders on April 1
WARWICK — The Orange County Land Trust will host a salamander search at the Fuller Mountain Preserve on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to noon. Orange County Land Trust’s volunteer wildlife educator Pam Golben will lead a one-mile round-trip hike to the woodland pools at Fuller Mountain Preserve where the search for salamanders will begin. Conditions around the woodland pools will be wet and muddy, so participants are advised to wear hiking or muck boots. This family-friendly hike is easy/moderate with some rocky, uphill terrain. A donation of $5 per person or family is suggested. The preserve is located at 70 Bowen Road in Warwick. To pre-register, for directions or for more information, e-mail Jeremy@OCLT.org or call 845-534-3690 ext 18. For more information about the Orange County Land Trust, visit www.OCLT.org.
