MONROE —Congregation Eitz Chaim will hold its 2017 Yom HaShoah Commemoration Program on Sunday, April 23, beginning at 1 p.m.

The program will be dedicated to the memory of Elie Wiesel, the Romanian-born American Jewish writer, professor, political activist, Nobel Laureate and Holocaust survivor.

It will feature Cecile Kaufer, who will share her poetry and answer questions about her heroic survival in France.

The congregation also will honor the dedicated and inspirational service of Yom HaShoah committee member Dr. Paula Neyman, Ruth Sussman and Evelyn Marshak.

The religious school children will participate in music, song and readings.

All are welcome.

Congregation Eitz Chaim is located at 1465 Orange Turnpike in Monroe.
