CENTRAL VALLEY — Monroe-Woodbury High School held a brief ceremony prior to Monday's game against John S. Burke High School to honor the seniors on the basketball team and their parents.

Seniors Ryan Degnan, Will Rice and Justin Corvetto and their families were given flowers and autographed basketballs.

Both the Crusaders and the Eagles are currently maneuvering for playoff positions in the Section 9 tournament coming up at the end of the month.

The Eagles got off to 17-5 first quarter lead and never looked back as they soared to a 21-point victory over the Crusaders.

The loss brought the Crusaders' season record to 11-7.
