Katherine Cinque of Highland Mills passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at The Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. She was 85 years old.

The daughter of John A. and Despina Pirenis Chiklas, she was born Nov. 5, 1931, in New York.

Katherine was a retired Records Clerk for Rockland County in New City.

She was the widow of Robert A. Cinque as well as her second husband, Ross Jones.

She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, and loved to travel and spend time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Barbara Ovsak and her husband Denis of Highland Mills; her son Robert A. Cinque Jr. and his companion Shelley Pirre; her son Michael A. Cinque and his wife Lian of Monroe Township, N.J.; and her four grandchildren: Hillary, Lisa, Kayla and Michael Tai.

Katherine was predeceased by her sisters Chrysa “Terry” Colucci and Marie Chiklas.

A Chapel Service was held Feb. 8 in the Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Highland Mills.

Interment followed in the Gary Onderdonk Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Rockland Community College in Suffern.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
