TUXEDO — Members of the George F. Baker High School National Honor Society and members of the George Grant Mason Student Council have joined efforts to assist in the annual toy drive that is facilitated by Dr. David Kaufer, a longtime Tuxedo resident and former Board of Education Member.
Kaufer initiated this collaborative effort with the Suffern Police Department and Suffern Community seven years ago.
It has become an annual tradition that allows the students and community of Tuxedo to come together to assist in making the holidays a little brighter for those who may be a little less fortunate.
Students decorated the Toy Drive boxes and members dropped them off at various locations throughout Tuxedo who partner with the school and allow the Toy Drive boxes to be stationed at their location for toy collection.
Area businesses and public services who have partnered with the school include: The Orange Top Diner, the Town Hall, Dottie Audreys, Tuxedo Library, Tuxedo Police Department, The Barber Shop and Jesse Bagels.
