Members of the Monroe-Woodbury High School Varsity baseball and softball teams greeted the 90 veterans as they returned April 8 to Stewart International Airport in Newburgh from Washington, D.C. These veterans are part of the Honor Flight Network, which recognizes American veterans for their sacrifices and achievements by flying them to see their memorials at no cost. This flight was comprised mostly of Korean War veterans along with a group of World War II veterans and two Vietnam veterans.
