MONROE — Village of Monroe Police Department and the Orange County Traffic Safety Program will host a child car seat safety check on Friday, Jan. 29, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Monroe Ambulance building at 100 Ramapo St.

A certified technician will be on hand to check seats. Monroe Police Sgt. Douglas M. Krauss said as many as nine out of every 10 car seats are incorrectly installed.
