TUXEDO PARK — Students and faculty of Tuxedo Park School immerse themselves in 21st century learning with the opening of the KMac Lab featuring 3D printing, video, electronics and robotics production.

The KMac Lab is a dedicated maker space donated to Tuxedo Park School by the Lachman family in honor of former Head of School Kathleen McNamara.

The KMac Lab is a designated area that combines all elements of a STEAM education – science, technology, engineering, art and math.

Students explore, design and create in an environment that encourages learning through discovery and team work.

Maker Spaces provide an opportunity for cross-curricular cooperation and engagement and create an environment for innovative thinking.

“We continue to build upon the tradition of and commitment to academic excellence while embracing the components of the 21st century education," Head of School Todd Stansbery said in the institution's press release detailing the program. "With the generosity of the Lachman Family, the lab offers students broad opportunities that prepare them to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”

Tuxedo Park School is a PreK - Grade 9 accredited independent school located in Tuxedo Park.
