Tuxedo hosts e-recycling program

TUXEDO — Starting Friday, Sept. 5, through Monday, Sept. 11, a closed container will be stationed at the Powerhouse Property for electronic recycling.

This program is open only to Tuxedo residents and businesses.

According to the press release announcing the program from town Supervisor Clerk Shari Brooks, anything with a plug or battery can be recycled. Here are some examples:

Portable/laptop computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, scanners, keyboards, mice, telecommunications equipment, wire and main frames.

Also: Stereos and radio equipment, speakers, VCR / DVD players, television, microwaves, air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, space heaters, propane tanks, large appliances and servers.

Also: Monitors, metal – non ferrous, copiers, cable attachments, cell phones and telephones, cameras, E-book readers, MP3 Players, modems and UPS/battery backup.
