MONROE — Teen volunteers at Monroe Free Library spent the summer painting the set and the building puppets for the library’s production of a show based on Eric Carle’s popular children’s book, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”

The free show for children under eight was held Aug. 7 to the delight of the children and their parents.

Here are a few scenes from Melissa Kochovos.
