  • The Monroe-Woodbury Hockey League provides a hockey program for ages 4 through adults. The competitive teams have been very successful for many years. For instance, in 2012 the 10U team won the Hudson Valley 10U Championship, the Hudson Valley 12U tournament Gold Medal (playing in an older division) and the Nutmeg 10U championship in Connecticut. The 14U team won silver medals in the Hudson Valley tournament and in the Connecticut Nutmeg Games.




MONROE — The Monroe-Woodbury Roller Hockey club will conducting learn to skate sessions on Sunday, March 17, and Sunday, March 24, at 10 a.m. at the rink in Smith’s Clove Park, weather permitting.

Sessions are open anyone, with a focus on boys and girls from ages 4-10. Everyone is welcome; send a RSVP note to mwrhl.president@gmail.com. Bring skates and a helmet.

Roller hockey (Inline) is very similar to ice hockey, but without body checking and with simpler rules to keep the game moving.

Like ice hockey, speed and skill are important elements.
