For 32 years, staff from the Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) of Orange County have determined the theme for the annual Substance Abuse Prevention Poster Design Contest.
As they began planning for the 33rd annual contest, ADAC administrators decided to change things up and create a contest asking students to suggest themes.
Congratulations to Pine Tree fifth grader Dylan McCann, the first-ever winner of the ADAC poster theme contest.
Dylan’s theme “I am a better me when I am alcohol and drug free” will be the topic for next year’s poster contest at the elementary level.
His theme was selected from more than three dozen entries.
