Holiday caroling by girl scouts
MONROE — The girl scouts are coming to the Village of Monroe to sing holiday carols from around the world on Wednesday, Dec. 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
They will begin by visiting Terpsichore the Dancerschool after which they will head over to Planet Pizza.
Following that they will visit businesses along both sides of Lake Street.
The last two places they will visit are the library and Our Father’s Kitchen.
The girl scouts will also be bringing fresh food donations to Our Father’s Kitchen and shelf items for Our Mother’s Cupboard.
“This is a special event,” Mayor James Purcell said in the press release announcing the scouts’ appearance, “and all the more reason to come to the Village for a bite to eat or a bit of shopping.”
