M-W graduate Rebecca Vitelli named teacher of the year in New Castle, Delaware

    NEW CASTLE, Delaware — Rebecca Vitelli, a 2011 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, has been named Teacher of the Year at Colwyck School in the Colonial School District of New Castle, Delaware.
    At age 25, Vitelli is the youngest teacher to ever receive this award, being honored in her first year of eligibility. She is now under consideration for the statewide Educator of the year in Delaware.
    She is a special education teacher.
    Vitelli graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Delaware in 2014, and received a Masters in Education from UD in 2016.
    She is the daughter of Barbara and Larry Vitelli of Monroe.
